Glowworms & Birb Events in November

Hello Birb-watchers! Time for an update on what we've been doing in October, and getting the hype train on for November events!

But before we dive in, birb.watch is nearly one year old! Thank you to everyone for birding with us. Time has flown by, lifers have been achieved, and it's time to hear back from each one of you that make it possible. We'd love to hear what you like about us and how we can do better. Saturday 11 Nov - Birdwatching

Keep your calendars reserved for a bird outing! Location is TBD but watch this space! If you have any target species you'd like to see hit us up on Discord 😊.

We'll be gathering around midday at Fortress Sydney to have a few drinks, play board games (bird related of course!) and we'll be trying our hand at bird trivia!

Saturday 28 Oct - Glowworming in Helensburgh

We organised a morning outing to the Glowworm tunnels found in Helensburgh, a 1 hour drive from Sydney. Glowworms have made an abandoned rail tunnel their home and we had the privilege of seeing them shine happily in the tunnel. You can find out more here. If you do visit, please take care of the environment and the glowworms!

We then visited a nearby Hindu temple, and then bald hill for a quick lookout and lunch spot where we saw some paragliders!
